Orlando – A Spoon Full of Hope is a small line of foods made in a local food bank, by its chefs, and sold retail. Lately the Cask & Larder market at Orlando International Airport added the goods to its shelves, as did several Lucky’s Markets, the cheesemonger La Femme du Fromage and even the Marriott Residence Inn in downtown Orlando. The wares are made and sold from the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Options include tomato-basil soup, honey and cookies. (The cookies are produced in the Darden Foundation Production Kitchen.) Proceeds support the center’s Culinary Training Program, which gives job skills to neighbors who need them. It seems the list of retailers keeps growing, so check in regularly at this link.

Second Harvest’s Catering for Good culinary students are also involving in catering, and chef events. Click here to read more.
