Cyberspace – On Game Night, sitting in a pizzeria waiting for your pie, or … just because, whip out your smartphones and start cooking together. The new app Family Style involves two to eight people rapidly passing eggs, shredded cheese, broccoli and more among players by swiping, which moves each food from phone to phone. It’s hectic and hilarious. Just try to fry a shrimp; it’s a hoot.
Family Style began as a final project by a bunch of college kids (disclaimer: one is mine) and was so well-received that the creators kept tweaking after they graduated, and now it’s available on iOS and Androids. It’s free, it’s fun for adults and it’s kid-friendly.
So far reviews (again: one mine) are positive, giving Family Style a 4.8 rating in iPhone’s app store, where at a week old it already ranks No. 8 in free family games. Support these kids by downloading it. You’ll soon be begging your friends to join you in the virtual kitchen.
