THAILAND — With frequent forays into lemongrass-laced menus, insanely luxurious spas and beaches that are beyond spectacular, I spent several months of this pandemic ghost-writing/co-authoring Thailand for Couples, a new guidebook. I paired up Australian Thai-fanatic David Nguyen, who knows Thailand’s romantic venues and activities so well that he pulled together comprehensive lists of the best of seemingly everything, at all price levels, in several Thai destinations. Then I dug in to get details and wrote up what you need to know in my signature perky style. The time-for-two part is optional; we bring singles, groups and families to wonderful places and experiences also, so don’t hesitate to pick up a copy if you’re dreaming of exploring Southeast Asia one of these days without your boo. Besides the essentials, we lead you to skybars for champagne toasts high above the world, one inside a temperature-controlled transparent bubble. We cover luxurious (and cheap) hotels, raucous full moon parties, exceptional mango-with-sticky-rice desserts, sleepovers at elephant sanctuaries, places to chat with monks, and caves filled with fascinating manmade structures, some a little risqué. Shoutout to Reedsy for hooking us up for this collaboration. Click here to get your copy, paperback or e-book.
