If you've been eyeing that Spanish steakhouse on the new Four Seasons Orlando's penthouse level, consider trying it out at happy hour. Unwind in the snazzy bar or, my favorite, in the oversized outdoor lounge with expansive Disney World views. Weekday happy hour specials include free pintxos--basically nibbles like marcona almonds, olives, and Spanish cheeses, plus specially priced drinks. Some cocktails here run $30 at dinner, so $12 specialty drinks are a good price.
CITYFISH
Cityfish is a relaxed seafood house in Orlando's trendy Thornton Park neighborhood. The restaurant has ample seating indoors, on the sidewalk, and in a more private patio. This week, and this week only, Cityfish will offer two pounds of snow crab legs for only $20. That heaping plateful of crustaceans comes with hushpuppies, cole slaw, and drawn butter. The catch? You have to mention Rona Recommends to get that price. Cityfish put the deal together just for this Fox/blog combo. The offer ends after March 20.
SHANTELL'S CAFE
Shantell's Cafe moved into a new location across the street from its original historic Sanford spot just as it celebrates its first birthday. Regulars pile in for the soul food, live music, and karaoke in the evenings. To bring in more daytime customers, the restaurant offers three buy-one-get-one-free lunches. Visit with a friend on a weekday--Monday through Friday--and you can each feast on chicken and waffles, a waffle burger, or a specialty burger for the price of only one.
ELLIE LOU'S BREWS & BBQ
Tucked into a little strip mall in Ocoee, just north of Windermere, Ellie Lou's Brews & BBQ serves up heaping platters of smoked meats and homemade sides--with the friendliest, most eager service possible.
Exclusively for Rona Recommends, Ellie Lou's is making a good deal even better. The Q-for-2 is a menu staple.
