Boca, the kitchen-bar-market in Winter Park, has a new chef--and that's good news, since the place was more about vibe than food. Now it's worth the trip for meals.
At a media tasting this week, I was, frankly, floored by every course. The most impressive, to me, was this ricotti gnudi, which is a plump pasta made with soft ricotta cheese. Here it's surrounded by ingredients involving fresh peas, bacon marmalade, a seven-minute egg, radish, and Meyer lemon. I can not begin to tell you how scrumptious it was.
Here's a quick rundown of the other treats from Boca.
Every single one was spectacular--even that chicken wing, which I'd figured would be bland.
Time to try out Boca, or, if you had a bad experience, to try it again.
Eat enthusiastically, Rona
