Win two tickets to see -- and taste (yum!) -- Orlando artist-inspired chef creations.
On June 2, chefs from 10 Orlando-area restaurants are going to have quite a challenge: Each will cook up a dish based on the works of a contemporary artist whose creations will be exhibited at the Florida Prize in Contemporary Art.
Food is art? Art as food? This gets good, and you may be able to participate for free -- but, if not, treat yourself to a ticket. It will be worth the modest price.
Those who choose to attend this event, called the Florida Prize Preview Party for the Florida Prize in Contemporary Art, will have a lovely evening. First off, you'll get to see this noteworthy progressive art from some of the state's best artists. Second, you'll get to taste the food prepared by the culinary pros at 10 local places, many of them 2017 hot spots. As a bonus, live music and a DJ will entertain. An open bar will serve beer, wine and cocktails.
You'll be in the bright and modern Orlando Museum of Art. What an evening!
These are the culinarlians participating:
1921 by Norman Van Aken
Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen & Bar
The Gourmet Cuisine at Rollins College
General admission is $30, VIP $50 -- that includes extras like meeting the artists and free valet parking. Buy your tickets here.
The Florida Prize Preview Party will be on Friday, June 2 from 7pm to 10pm (the VIP extra takes place from 6pm to 7pm).
