Orlando—Of Orlando’s many steakhouses, most are outlets of chains. Let’s welcome a one-of-a-kind restaurant. It’s called 7593 Chophouse, and it just opened within the Reunion Resort & Golf Club.
The executive chef is a woman, Sabrina Greene, which is unusual for a restaurant of this type. She put together a menu based around USDA Prime steaks and chops, plus items such as elk, bouillabaisse, and chicken ‘n’ biscuits.
The rest of the menu blends classic and creative. The seven optional topping range from Bordelaise sauce to Latin-American chimichurri. Lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, truffle fries and duck fat-roasted fingerling potatoes are among the seven sides. An artisanal charcuterie board and hand-rolled sushi are also on the menu.
Cocktails are named for celebrities who have golfed on the premises, including Ole Babe Ruth and Dean Martini.
7593 has 104 seats yet capacity is limited in these times so guests can sit far from other groups. There are two private dining rooms. Reservations are required.
